The International Emerging Film Talent Association (IEFTA) in cooperation with The UN Refugee Agency (UNHCR) and The Marché du Film is pleased to announce an all day event at 2016 Cannes Film Festival.
Wednesday, 18 May 2016 (View Schedule)
Salle Bory – Palais des Festivals Fourth Floor – Cannes, France
Against the backdrop of the ongoing worldwide refugee crisis, this global humanitarian tragedy has sparked the interest of the entertainment world, with filmmakers – some refugees themselves – telling their own stories and those of affected populations. Refugee Voices in Film will explore ways that broadcasters, humanitarian agencies and filmmakers engage and portray refugees and their plight. It will also present independent filmmaking voices and look at how the worldwide entertainment community is telling and sharing refugee stories.
