Encouraging Collaboration at Berlinale

Encouraging Collaboration at Berlinale

At this year’s Berlinale, IEFTA discuss how they support talent and creative initiatives in emerging markets around the world and how international film festivals, local filmmakers and organisations can prosper within this collaboration.

The International Emerging Film Talent Association (IEFTA), a Monaco-based not-for-profit, is in Berlin. And as an organisation whose primary mission is to support and foster creative initiatives in emerging economies, it is giving a 30 minute presentation entitled “Encouraging Collaboration with Emerging Filmmakers” at the Berlinale Africa Hub.

The presentation will take place on Tuesday, 12 February at 11:30 am and be headed up by Marco Orsini, President of IEFTA and Bernadette Schramm, Head of Talent and Partnerships.

They will outline how international film festivals, local filmmakers and organisations can work together, pool resources and prosper and achieve more in emerging economies especially Ethiopia, but also further afield in Egypt, Bangladesh and Mongolia..

Organisations who either support creative initiatives such as this or are interested in collaborating either in a support position or in co-production, would benefit from attending.
