12 Feb IEFTA Alumni selected for Eurodoc 2024
IEFTA Alumni Tanim Yousuf (Bangladesh) has been selected as part of the 2024 Eurodoc Cohort with his new documentary “Aanda Story”, a film about a unique tidal river of the whole world, which is the natural breeding ground of carp fishes.
In light of this exceptional achievement, IEFTA is contributing towards his participation and travel fees to help him fulfil the opportunity.

Tanim Yousuf (Bangladesh)
DIRECTOR
Tanim Yousuf is a Bangladeshi filmmaker and co-founder of Mastul Productions, a recently founded production company based in Chittagong, Bangladesh. He has participated in a variety of filmmaking labs and workshops, including Dhaka DocLab in 2019, 2020 and 2022, where he won the IEFTA Prize of €2000 during the Dhaka DocLab pitch sessions for “Ghost Boat” is his first feature-length documentary, co-directed with fellow Bangladeshi filmmaker, Kauser Haider.
He serves as a jury member Liberation DocFest Bangladesh. He is also a member of MasTul (art collective) and Bistaar (art complex) in Chittagong. Tanim holds a B.Sc in Textile Engineering from City University Dhaka.
Tanim views filmmaking as an essential strategy for exposing and addressing the social crises faced by his home country.
