Join us at this years Marche du Film Cannes Docs on 20th May 2024 for our “Journey of Exile – A Cinematic Exploration” comprising of two important and noteworthy events that focus on and merge narratives from refugees and displaced people.

Displacement – Cinematic Perspectives
The first event to take place is a moderated discussion by Journalist Hadley Gamble interviewing a very Special Guest along with along with Filmmaker Daniela Repas.
The discussion will highlight the newly funded program which focuses on displaced filmmakers and their stories, how the film community can work together to identify these stories and how these stories can enter the main market.
This event is brought to you by IEFTA, UNHCR and the Arab Cinema Centre.

FILM SCREENING FOLLOWED BY Q&A
Refugee Voices in Film – 7th Edition
The second event held on the same day a little later is IEFTA’s Refugee Voices in Film – 7th Edition where three short films will be screened. Produced through a UNHCR and YouTube content collaboration for World Refugee Day, these three works-in-progress focus on changing perspectives and will be followed by a Q&A discussion on the role of creative content and partnerships in amplifying refugee voices.
