IEFTA Shine Spotlight on Ethiopia at Berlinale

On Tuesday 12 February, the IEFTA will host a panel discussion at the Berlinale Africa Hub dedicated to Ethiopia’s emerging film industry and featuring some local film professionals and success stories.

Join us again in Berlin as we shine the spotlight on and support a dedicated panel discussion hosted by the Berlinale Africa Hub on the topic of “Ethiopia’s Emerging Film Industry”.

Part of IEFTA’s mission is to raise awareness of these topics and this discussion endeavours to highlight and demonstrate the benefits of communication and collaboration in the industry and how it can produce success stories now and in the future.

The panel discussion takes place on Tuesday, 12 February at 15:30 – 16:00 and is moderated by Ethiopian Actress Martha Fessehatzion, the panel will feature Berlin Talents participant Beza Hailu Lemma, Founding Member & Operations Director of Habeshaview, Tigist Kebede, and IEFTA film alumni Henok Mebratu of Action Media & Communication.

The event will be followed by Networking Drinks with IEFTA. Meet the IEFTA President Marco Orsini and some key IEFTA members and learn about our innovative initiatives to support creativity and provide opportunity through filmmaking in emerging countries throughout the world.

Organisations who either support creative initiatives such as this or are interested in collaborating either in a support position or in co-production, would benefit from attending.
