IEFTA’s Role & Support
As part of our mission to foster emerging talent in documentary filmmaking, IEFTA will cover the travel expenses and the participation fee for the selected producer from Sub-Saharan Africa to attend the program. The workshops will take place in the second half of 2025 and the first half of 2026, offering an incredible opportunity for professional growth and international collaboration.

What is the Emerging Producers Program?
The Emerging Producers Program is a prestigious training and networking platform designed to empower the next generation of creative documentary producers. The programme is designed for producers with a several years’ experience in the local market, who have at least one realised film, capacity for professional growth and ambitions to be active on the European market. The programme is not project-oriented, i.e. the applicants do not apply with their concrete film, but as individuals seeking professional growth.
The seventeen European producers will be accompanied by a producer from Sub-Saharan Africa – next editions’ guest country, and IEFTA is proud to be a partnering with Ji.hlava in organising this call.
