Winners Announced at the Amman International Film Festival – Awal Film 2025

IEFTA awarded their €6,000 cash award for an Arab project in post-production  to “You Don’t Die Two Times” (Algeria, Tunisia, Germany, France) at this year’s Amman International Film Festival – Awal Film 2025 directed by Ager Oueslati, and produced by Raouf Oueslati.

The film is about one night when a strange dream wakes Gift—could it be a sign of a foretold death? Embarking on a perilous journey to Europe, this adaptation of the Ancient Egyptian Book of the Dead offers an intimate portrait of her odyssey.

DIRECTOR
Ager Oueslati is a French-Algerian-Tunisian journalist, director and photographer. She graduated from the Ecole Supérieure de Journalisme Pro Lille-Montpellier (ESJ-PRO), and since then she worked as a journalist reporter around africa and the middle east. She directed her first short documentary film, Exilées, in September 2019. In 2021, she founded Taswir production in Algeria, a film production company she co-directs with her brother Raouf Oueslati and they produce together, her next documentary film, “You Don’t Die Two Times”, is scheduled for release in 2026.

Raouf Oueslati is a lawyer, Business and Compliance in the private sector, and associate producer of “You Don’t Die Two Times”. He graduated from the University of Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne in Criminal Law and Criminal Sciences, as well as in Economic and Social Administration, he initiated his career with the Paris Saint-Germain in Paris, before going international and joining first PayPal Inc. in Dublin (IE), then Mollie B.V, and Bunq B.V. in Amsterdam (NL), and today at MoonPay B.V. (Amsterdam – NL) and Taswir Edition (Algiers – DZ).
